MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE EVENTS COMMITTEE
Held on Tuesday, 7 July 2026 from 10.00am at the Old Coastguard Station, Anderby Road, Chapel St Leonards, PE24 5XA

EC/01/07-26 Chair’s Welcome.
The Chair, Cllr C. Briggs welcomed everyone present to the meeting and thanked them for attending.
EC/02/07-26 Apologies for Absence.
None received.
EC/03/07-26 To receive Declarations of Interest in agenda items under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests.
None received.
EC/04/07-26 To receive and approve the draft minutes of the Events Committee Meeting held on 2 June 2026.
The minutes of the Events Committee Meeting held on 2 June 2026 were proposed by Cllr J. Sieradzki and seconded by Cllr C. Naylor and were unanimously approved and signed by the Chair, Cllr C. Briggs.
EC/05/07-26 Update on Summer Fun Festival
- The Clerk showed the Councillors two bubble machines that she had purchased, and it was agreed that these will be active during the festival.
- There was a suggestion that the stalls should be named and numbered so that the stallholders know where their stall is located.
- There was a discussion regarding the rides on the village green. The committee decided on the teacup ride. The Councillors will meet at the Village Green at 10.00am on Friday, 17 July 2026. The village green will be measured to arrange the stalls.
- There will be a working party meeting on 18 August 2026.
