MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE EVENTS COMMITTEE
Held on Friday, 6 March 2026 from 9.00am at the Old Coastguard Station, Anderby Road, Chapel St Leonards, PE24 5XA
Present: Cllr P. Robinson, Cllr C. Briggs, Cllr J. Sieradzki

EC/01/03-26 To Elect a Chair of the Events Committee.
Cllr P. Robinson proposed Cllr C. Briggs for Chair and Cllr J. Sieradzki seconded the motion and Cllr C. Briggs was dully elected as Chair of the Events Committee.
EC/02/03-26 Chair’s Welcome.
Cllr C. Briggs (Chair) welcomed everyone present to the meeting and thanked them for attending.
EC/03/03-26 Apologies for Absence.
None received.
EC/04/03-26 To receive Declarations of Interest in agenda items under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests.
None received.
EC/05/03-26 To receive and approve the draft minutes of the Events Committee Meeting held on 6 November 2026.
The minutes of the Events Committee Meeting held on 6 November 2025 were unanimously approved and signed by the Chair, Cllr C. Briggs.
EC/06/03-26 Summer Fun Festival
There were discussions regarding the Summer Fun Festival to be held at the end of August.
- There are some stalls and entertainment already booked.
- The banners can be re-used and the dated changed with this year’s date.
- The Assistant Clerk will organise a spreadsheet of the event.
- Participants from the previous year will be contacted to see if they would like
to book this year.
- The dates the Summer Fun Festival will be held: 29 and 30 August 2026.
