MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE EVENTS COMMITTEE
Held on Tuesday, 5 May 2026 from 11.00am at the Old Coastguard Station, Anderby Road, Chapel St Leonards, PE24 5XA
Present: Cllr P. Robinson, Cllr C. Briggs, Cllr C. Naylor

EC/01/05-26 To Elect a Chair of the Events Committee
Cllr J. Sieradzki proposed Cllr C. Briggs and Cllr C. Naylor seconded the motion and Cllr C. Briggs was elected as Chair of the Events Committee by unanimous vote.
EC/02/05-26 Chair’s Welcome.
The Chair, Cllr C. Briggs welcomed everyone present to the meeting and thanked them for attending.
EC/03/05-26 Apologies for Absence.
None received.
EC/04/05-26 To receive Declarations of Interest in agenda items under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests.
None received.
EC/05/05-26 To receive and approve the draft minutes of the Events Committee Meeting held on 10 April 2026.
The minutes of the Events Committee Meeting held on 10 April 2026 were unanimously approved and signed by the Chair, Cllr C. Briggs.
EC/06/05-26 Stall Update
The Assistant Clerk will be compiling a list of stallholders that will be attending the Summer Family Fun Festival. She will update the Application Form for next year. Some payments have been made for stalls.
EC/07/05-26 Flag sample update/approval
The Clerk showed the councillors samples of small colourful handheld flags which could be given to children at the festival. She also stated that she had ordered a stamp with Chapel St Leonards Parish Council and the Logo printed on which could be stamped onto the flags. Cllr J. Sieradzki proposed and Cllr C. Naylor seconded the motion and it was Resolved unanimously to buy 300 flags for the festival.
EC/08/05-26 Update from Andy – Popcorn Media.
The Clerk informed the Councillors that she had not heard from Andy. It was suggested to email him and get an update on how things were progressing.
EC/09/05-26 Chapel Belles Update
Chapel Belles will confirm nearer the date.
EC/10/05-26 Date and Time of Next Events Meeting
The meeting concluded at 11.30am
