MINUTES OF THE EVENTS COMMITTEE MEETING

Held on 27 March 2025 at the

Church Hall, Church Lane, Chapel St Leonards, PE24 5UJ

Present:  Cllr S. Whitmore (Chair), Cllr P. Robinson, Cllr C. Briggs

In Attendance:  Sue Parr and Cllr D. Wilson

Absence:  Cllr B. Holmes and Cllr P. Hamilton

Acting Clerk/RFO:  Mrs. V.A. Worley

 

EC01/03-25    Chair’s Welcome

Cllr S. Whitmore (Chair) welcomed everyone present to the meeting and thanked them for attending.

EC02/03-25    Apologies for absence.

Cllr B. Homes with valid reason.

EC03/03-25    Declaration of pecuniary interests not already registered and to consider any dispensation.

None received.

EC04/03-25    To receive and approve the draft minutes of the Events Committee Meeting held on 27 March 2025.

The Minutes of the Events Committee Meeting were approved unanimously and signed by Cllr S. Whitmore (Chair).

EC05/03-25    VE Day progress.

  1. The band is sorted.
  2. The DJ is sorted.
  3. The council will be paying the kitchen fee.
  4. Posters are ready.
  5. Cllr B. Holmes confirmed the classic cars.
  6. Cllr C. Briggs suggested lucky dip.  Councillors will help wrap sweets on Tuesday, 8 April 2025.
  7. Councillors will deliver flyers on Wednesday, 9 April 2025.

EC06/03-25      Discuss Summer Fun Festival.

  1. Stage – This is booked.
  2. Entertainment – Let’s 80s
  3. Stalls - £30.00 per stall fee
  4. First aid – will be sorted.

EC07/03-25     Date and time of next meeting.
