MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE EVENTS COMMITTEE
Held on Tuesday, 5 May 2026 from 11.00am at the Old Coastguard Station, Anderby Road, Chapel St Leonards, PE24 5XA

EC/01/06-26 Chair’s Welcome.
The Chair, Cllr C. Briggs welcomed everyone present to the meeting and thanked them for attending.
EC/02/06-26 Apologies for Absence.
None received.
EC/03/06-26 To receive Declarations of Interest in agenda items under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests.
None received.
EC/04/06-26 To receive and approve the draft minutes of the Events Committee Meeting held on 5 May 2026.
The minutes of the Events Committee Meeting held on 5 May 2026 were proposed by Cllr J. Sieradzki and seconded by Cllr C. Naylor and were unanimously approved and signed by the Chair, Cllr C. Briggs.
EC/05/06-26 Summer Family Fun Festival Update
The Assistant Clerk compiled a spreadsheet of stallholders that will be attending the Summer Family Fun Festival. She informed the Committee of the stallholders that had paid the stall fee.
Andy from Popcorn Media had revised his previous quotation which reduced the stage size and included extra singers for the budget. It was suggested to invite Andy to attend the next Events Committee Meeting.
- The Clerk was asked to check the number of gazebos that need to be purchased.
- There was a discussion regarding the setting up time for stallholders of 8.30am.
- The Clerk will organise 10 x A4 Summer Family Fun Festival posters and 300 x A5 leaflets.
