MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE

FC/01/05-26 To Elect a Chair of the Finance Committee
Cllr C. Naylor proposed and Cllr J. Sieradzki seconded the motion that Cllr C. Jude become Chair of the Finance Committee.
FC/02/05-26 Chair’s Welcome
Cllr C. Jude (Chair) welcomed all present to the Finance Committee Meeting and thanked them for attending.
FC/03/05-26 Apologies for Absent
None received.
FC/03/05-26 To receive Declarations of Interest in agenda items under the Localism Act 2011 – being pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests.
None received.
FC/04/05-26 To receive and approve the draft minutes of the Finance Committee Meeting held on 14 April 2026.
The minutes of the Finance Committee Meeting held on 14 April 2026 were proposed by Cllr C. Briggs and seconded by Cllr J. Sieradzki approved and signed by the Chair, Cllr C. Jude.
FC/05/05-26 Update on VAT
The Chapel St Leonards Parish Council had received the VAT amount of £28,967.64 on 16 April 2026.
FC/06/05-26 Finance Update
There was a discussion on the village hall with a view to the Council giving support but further discussions will be needed in the future when more information is received.
FC/08/05-26 Date and time of next Finance Committee Meeting.
