MINUTES OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING
Held on Thursday, 27 March 2025 at 9.15am at the
Church Hall, Church Lane, Chapel St Leonards, PE24 5UJ
Present: Cllr C. Jude (Chair), Cllr P. Robinson, Cllr S. Whitmore
In Attendance: Cllr D. Wilson, Cllr P. Hamilton and Cllr S. Briggs
Absence: Cllr B. Holmes and Cllr G. Ward

FC01/03-25 Chair’s Welcome
Cllr C. Jude (Chair) welcomed everyone present to the meeting of the Finance Committee and thanked them for attending.
FC02/03-25 Apologies for absence
Cllr B. Holmes and Cllr G. Ward with valid reason.
FC03/03-25 Declaration of pecuniary interests not already registered and to consider any dispensation.
None received.
FC04/03-25 To receive and approve the draft minutes of the Finance Committee Meeting held on 27 February 2025.
The minutes were approved by the Finance Committee unanimously and signed by Cllr C. Jude (Chair).
FC05/03-25 Update on HMRC, VAT and PAYE.
The Clerk/RFO stated that she has sent a special delivery letter to HMRC regarding the FPS submissions for the PAYE.
FC06/03-25 Update on present VAT quarter.
To be finalised.
FC07/03-25 Spending allowance for Parish Office and Committees.
It was RESOLVED that the Parish Office spending allowance will be £1,000.00 and the Committees spending allowance will be £1,500.00. Any higher spending will have to be approved. Cllr S. Whitmore proposed and Cllr C. Jude and Cllr. P. Robinson seconded the motion in agreement for it to be approved, resolved and taken to Full Council.
FC08/03-25 BACS run changes.
The Clerk/RFO will produce the BACS run for approval each fortnight.
FC09/03-25 Ground contract – costs this year and update schedule 2025/26
FC10/03-25 New operatives’ contracts – to note extra costs for March.
No extra costs.
FC11/03-25 Date and time of next Finance Committee Meeting.
