MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE

Held on Thursday, 2nd October 2025 from 10.00am at the Church Hall, Church Lane, Chapel St Leonards, PE24 5UJ

Present:  Cllr C. Jude (Chair), Cllr S. Whitmore, Cllr P. Robinson, Cllr G. Ward

FC/01/10-25     Chair’s Welcome.

Cllr C. Jude (Chair) welcomed all present to the meeting and thanked them for attending.

FC/02/10-25     Apologies for Absence.

None received.

FC/03/10-25  To receive Declarations of Interest in agenda items under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests.

None received.

FC/04/10-25   To receive and approve the draft minutes of the Finance Committee meeting held on 11 September 2025.

The minutes of the Finance Committee Meeting held on 11 September 2025 were unanimously approved and signed by the Chair, Cllr C. Jude.

FC/05/10-25   To Approve Updated Financial Policies

The amended Financial Policies will be sent to the Members of Council prior to the next Full Council Meeting so that these can be resolved.

FC/06/10-25   Lease for Seafront Café.

The Clerk to contact the solicitor for an update.

FC/07/10-25   Copy of 1st Quarterly Financial Statement

There is an improvement from the last quarterly financial statement.  The Clerk will update amounts on scribe.

FC/08/10-25   Cost Centre Breakdown.

More input by the Clerk is required to get the figures up to date.

FC/09/10-25   Payments and Receipts

These require updating.  Bank balances are stable.

FC/10/10-25          Date and time of next Finance Committee Meeting.
