MINUTES OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING

Held on Thursday, 31 July 2025 at the Moonfleet Club, Tomlinsons Leisure, South Road, Chapel St Leonards, PE24 5TW

Present:  Cllr C. Jude (Chair), Cllr P. Robinson, Cllr S. Whitmore and Cllr G. Ward

FC01/07-25    Chair’s Welcome.

Cllr C. Jude (Chair) welcomed all present to the meeting and thanked them for attending.

FC02/07-25    Apologies for Absence.

None received.

FC03/07-25    To receive Declarations of Interests in agenda items under the Localism Act 2011 – being any Pecuniary Interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests.

None received.

FC04/07-25    To receive and approve the draft minutes of the Finance Committee Meeting of 31 July 2025.

The minutes were unanimously approved and signed by Cllr C. Jude (Chair).

FC05/07-25    To approve Updated Financial Policies

This item will be resolved at the next meeting.

FC06/07-25    Lease for Café.

This will be updated by Wilkins Solicitors.

FC07/07-25    Copy of 1st Quarterly Financial Statement

The Clerk was unable to produce this due to updating Scribe.

FC08/07-25    Cost Centre Breakdown

This item will be forwarded to the next finance meeting.

FC09/07-25    Payments and Receipts

This item will be forwarded to the next finance meeting.

FC10/07-25    Refund of Cemetery Plot

Cllr S. Whitmore enquired about a Burial Surrender of a plot.  It was suggested that a full refund of the plot should be given and no administration fee.

FC11/07-25    Internal Control

Internal control of accounts will be put in place by councillors.  The Clerk to get a quote for updating Scribe accounts.

FC12/07-25    Date and Time of next Finance Committee Meeting
