MINUTES OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND AMENITIES COMMITTEE
MEETING
Held on Thursday, 5 June 2025 at 10.30am

EA01/06-25 Chair’s Welcome.
Cllr P. Robinson (Chair) welcomed everyone present to the meeting and thanked them for attending.
EA02/06-25 Apologies for absence.
None received.
EA03/06-25 To receive Declarations of Interest in agenda items under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests.
None received.
EA04/06-25 To receive and approve the draft minutes of the Environment and Amenities Committee Meeting held on 15 May 2025.
The Minutes were approved unanimously and signed by Cllr P. Robinson (Chair).
EA05/06-25 Goal Post Update
The goal posts are now installed in the playpark.
EA06/06-25 Quotes for Fencing Update
There was a discussion regarding quotes for the railings on the Village Green. It had been resolved to replace all the railings. The Council had received a quote for this for delivery to be in 6 to 8 weeks. Cllr C. Jude had also received a quote from a local company and gave a copy to each councillor to view regarding installation of the railings. It was suggested to get the scrap value for the old railings.
EA07/06-25 Amphitheatre Update and discussion re: colour and picnic tables.
The amphitheatre needs repairing. The Council have received one quote for works. Cllr C. Jude has researched another Company.
There was a discussion regarding picnic tables and the colour. It was decided to have the colour blue as it relates to the seaside. The amphitheatre will be painted in shades of blue.
EA08/06-25 Rest Bench on Pullover
It was RESOLVED to place a bench on the Pullover. Cllr C. Jude will investigate this and get a quote. The Councillors decided on a concrete base to mount the bench on. This will be an item for the Full Council Meeting on 9 June 2025.
EA09/06-25 Exercise Gym in Playpark – Update
Two Councillors and the Clerk will meet the representative from the Company at the playpark on Monday on 9 June 2024. They will discuss all options and cost required.
EA10/06-25 Update on quote for seating area (old graffiti container space)
Cllr C. Jude researched a local building Company for carrying out the work in this area. They are a well-known local Company. There will be seating and brick planters which will be ideal for holiday makers and the residents to enjoy the sea view.
EA11/06-25 Date and time of next Environment and Amenities Committee Meeting.
