AC39/07-24 Chair’s Welcome

Cllr Robinson thanked the Cllrs for their on-going support and welcomed everyone to the meeting.

AC40/07-24 Apologies for absence

No apologies for absence received.

AC41/07-24 Declarations of Interest

 

None

 

AC42/07-24 To resolve as minutes the record of the meeting on 27 June 2024

 

RESOLVED and signed by the Chair.

 

AC43/07-24 To discuss the grass cutting contract.

The situation regarding the grass cutting at Roman Bank is on-going and the Chair met with PC Billy Spence and another officer, and they will update the Chair to see if there can be a Police presence when the contractor is cutting the grass. The situation will be monitored and kept on the agenda for an update. There is concern from many residents and Cllrs that the grass cutting is behind schedule, the Proper Officer will monitor and report how far behind the contractor is at the next meeting.

AC44/07-24 Update on plaques.

Then operatives will remove the plaques along the seawall along with any locks and plastic flowers.

 

AC45/07-24 Update on Lifeguards hut.

 

The environment agency are looking into who owns the Lifeguard hut and, in the meantime, have given permission for it to be painted. It was RESOLVED to paint the lifeguard hut the same colour as the amphitheatre with metal paint.

AC46/07-24 Update on MUGA netting.

 

The Chair and the handyman (Mark) are meeting with the resident on Tuesday 30 July 2024 to discuss a way to go forward as the existing netting is not satisfactory. The Chair will report back at the next meeting.

 

AC47/07-24 To discuss a What’s On style Village poster.

The leaflet is going well and contains all the useful information but is in need of being more eye catching. Cllr Whitmore will investigate this and report back at the next meeting.

 

AC25/03-24 To resolve the date of the next E&A Committee meeting.

 

Resolved as Thursday 22 August 11.00am.

 

Having concluded the agenda, the meeting was adjourned at 11.05am.
