ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE

AC1/03-24 Chair’s Welcome

AC2/03-24 Apologies for absence

Apologies were received and accepted from Cllr Jude.

AC3/03-24 Declarations of Interest

 

None

 

AC4/03-24 To resolve as minutes the record of the meeting on 23 January 2024

 

RESOLVED and signed by the Chair.

 

AC5/03-24 Parking and public conveniences update.

 

The Proper Officer updated the committee on the Ancaster toilet remedial works confirming they had been finished and the toilets opened to the public on Wednesday 6 March 2024. The parking income remains good in spite of the weather.

 

AC6/03-24 To discuss the Council’s policy regarding vehicles on the Green.

 

The Deputy had created a specific Terms & Conditions for the Green hire, inclusive of the proviso that individuals and/or organisations that hire the Green must carry their own insurance. This was sent to the Carnival Treasurer and accepted.

 

AC7/03-24 To receive an update on the ELDC Community project fund.

 

This Chair requested £660.00 in the name of Chapel Enhancement Project from the ELDC Councillor Community Grants scheme. We await the outcome from ELDC.

 

AC8/03-24 To receive an update on the Merryfield Court community protection order.

 

The Chair advised that the existing CPO is still open and ELDC is has been slow to move things along. The Chair will contact ELDC for a progress update as this area is starting to look very unsightly.

 

 

AC9/03-24 To discuss Proposed Waiting Restrictions - Chapel St Leonards (Papers: (001) Consultation Plan, (002) Consultation Letter)

The proposal would be supported with additional comments to suggest the restrictions are to go further along the road.

AC10/03-24 To discuss the appearance of the seating area to the rear of the beach café.

The Residents Association used to maintain the area to the rear of the beach café, however, they were disbanded, and this area has been left, the paint needs repair. It was unanimously RESOLVED that the Parish Council take over the maintenance of this area. The Proper Officer stated that the area is due for scrubbing and painting in April (weather permitting).

AC11/03-24 To resolve the date of the next Administration Committee meeting.
