CHAPEL ST LEONARDS PARISH COUNCIL
MINUTES OF THE ENVIRONMENTS & AMENITIES MEETING
Held on Thursday, 16 January 2025 at 12.00pm at the
Church Hall, Church Lane, Chapel St Leonards.
Present: Cllr P. Robinson (Chair), Cllr D. Wilson, Cllr S. Whitmore,
Cllr C. Briggs, Cllr B. Holmes
In attendance: Cllr P. Hamilton
Assistant Clerk: Mrs. V.A. Worley
EAC/01/01-25 Chair’s welcome.
Cllr P. Robinson (Chair) thanked everyone for attending.
EAC/02/01-25 Apologies for absence.
None.
EAC/03/01-25 Declaration of pecuniary interests not already registered
and to consider any dispensation.
None.
EAC/04/01-25 To resolve as minutes the record of the meeting held on
2nd December 2025.
It was RESOLVED by the E & A Committee
that the minutes were correct. This was proposed by Cllr B.
Holmes and seconded by Cllr C. Briggs. The E & A Committee
Unanimously agreed. Cllr P. Robinson (Chair) signed the
minutes.
EAC/05/01-25 Request to display a banner on the Village Green.
This was a request by the Old F.A.R.T.s to display a banner of
their upcoming pantomime as they do every year.
This was RESOLVED by the E & A Committee. Cllr S.
Whitmore proposed and Cllr B. Holmes seconded the motion.
All Councillors unanimously agreed.
EAC/06/01-25 Grassroot funding
It was RESOLVED at this present time, due to the S106 money
that we will be receiving, not to apply for any Grassroots
funding.
EAC/07/01-25 MUGA Update.
The poles which are galvanised steel should come back on
the weekend 25-26 January 2025.
EAC/08/01-25 Update steel storage unit – Cllr D. Wilson
Cllr D. Wilson informed the full Parish Council meeting held
on Monday, 13 January 2025 that the Council now has
permission to take the steel storage away. He stated that it is,
In fact, not made of steel so should be easier to dismantle.
EAC/09/01-25 Goal post discussion
The Assistant Clerk will research goal posts. There was a
discussion on their structure and how they are constructed.
EAC/10/01-25 Council Facebook page.
It was RESOLVED that the Assistant Parish Clerk, Valerie
Worley will be the Administrator of the Chapel St Leonards
Parish Council’s Facebook page. All Members of Council will
have input and approve what is put on. It was suggested to
have comments off and set up a new Facebook page. The
Committee suggested a Facebook Policy for the Council.
EAC/11/01-25 Waste bin sponsorship.
It was RESOLVED by the E & A Committee with a show of
hands unanimously, not to go ahead with this.
EAC/12/01-25 Date and time of next E & A Meeting.
