MINUTES OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND AMENITIES

COMMITTEE MEETING

Held on 20 January 2026 at The Old Coastguard Station, Anderby Road, Chapel St Leonards, PE24 5XA

EA/01/01-26     Chair’s Welcome.

Cllr P. Robinson (Chair) welcomed all present to the meeting and thanked them for attending.

EA/02/01-26      Apologies for Absence.

None received.

EA/03/01-26      To receive Declarations of Interest in agenda items under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests.

None received.

EA/04/01-26   To receive and approve the draft minutes of the Environment and Amenities Committee Meeting held on 18 December 2025.

The minutes of the Environment and Amenities Committee Meeting held on 18 December 2025 were unanimously approved and signed by the Chairman, Cllr P. Robinson.

EA/05/01-26      Notice Board Village Maps.

The Clerk will organise a quote for the village maps for the notice boards.

EA/06/01-26      Works on Amphitheatre

Work will start at the end of January/beginning of February 2026 as the permit has been obtained.

EA/07/01-26     Car Park – Card Payment

After discussion, it was RESOLVED to take this item to Full Council to change the car parking to card payment only.

EA/08/01-26      Beach Chalet Rent.

It was RESOLVED, after discussion to raise the beach chalet base rent by £50.00 per year.  The total amount will be £375.00 per annum. This will be taken to the next Full Council Meeting.

EA/09/01-26     Water Tap for Beach Chalets

There was a discussion regarding an outside water tap so that the beach chalet owners can have access to water.  This will be taken to a Full Council meeting for further discussion.

EA/10/01-26     Ancaster Toilets

It has been brought to the attention of Chapel St Leonards Parish Council that there have been drug using within Ancaster toilets.  The Clerk has obtained signs and safety equipment for the staff.

EA/09/12-25     Date and time of next Environment and Amenities Meeting.
