Minutes Of The Meeting Of The Environment & Amenities Committee

1. Apologies For Absence
Cllr Keeffe, this absence was formally approved, having considered
and accepted the reason for absence
2. Declarations Of Interest
None
3. Recreation Ground Annual Inspection
The Annual Inspection was carried out by the play inspection Company, the Outstanding work
will be handed to the new Handyman for actioning.
It was proposed by Cllr Sands, seconded by Cllr Yaxley
and unanimously agreed that we now cancel the Inspections by Hags, and use the PI Company
on an annual basis, with the Handyman doing the monthly checks.
4. Parish Highway Agreement 2019
It was agreed that this year’s verge cutting had been successful, therefore it should continue
next year, the Clerk will look at the budget and see if a further cut can be made. It was
unanimously agreed to enter into the LCC Urban Verge cutting for 2019/2020
5. Chapel Point Car Park Up Date
The Clerk gave an update on the Carpark, it was unanimously agreed that a third cash box
Should be purchased
6. Electric Hook Up
Information sent to Councillors before the meeting
It was felt that an electric Hook Up at Chapel Point was not appropriate at this time
7. Chapel Point Up Date
Garage in Use,
Office – quotes requested for window
It was unanimously agreed that arrangements should be made for a public consultation
On the future of the Old Cafe
9. To Move Into Closed Session
It was proposed by Cllr Hibbert-Greaves, seconded by Cllr Turton Leivers and unanimously agreed
that the meeting goes into closed session, but the 2 Spectator Councillors remain
10. Security Of Assets At The Point
It was unanimously agreed that the Clerk should look into quotes for CCTV, Alarm
system, and a safe
11. To Move Out Of Closed Session
It was unanimously agreed to move out of closed session
