MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CEMETERY COMMITTEE
February 9th 2021 at 11 am by way of a virtual Zoom Meeting
Present: Cllrs Evans, Hibbert-Greaves, & Yaxley

2. Declarations of interest

3. Balance of the Cemetery Reserve as at 31st January 2021
£19826.25
NOTED
4. To Report on the general appearance of the Cemetery, including non-compliant
Graves. – Cllr Yaxley
Cllr Yaxley & Cllr Evans had visited the Cemetery before the meeting, and had given details of a
Further 3 graves that were non-compliant, the Clerk will contact
the owners.
5. To Discuss a quote for installing a French Drain, extending the footpath, and marking
up of the plots.
The Clerk had been in touch with various contacts concerning this work, but had only received one quote.
It was proposed by Cllr Yaxley, seconded by Cllr Evans and unanimously agreed to accept this quote
to undertake the work for a total of £4549.00
6. Cost to the Parish Council for the Clerk’s time
The administration costs for the cemetery are covered by the Parish Council, however it was felt
that the Cemetery should cover its own costs.
It was therefore proposed by Cllr Yaxley, seconded by Cllr Evans and unanimously agreed
that a recommendation should be made to Council for the Clerk to keep
a record of the time spent on Cemetery work and charge it back to the Cemetery.
