MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL EXTRA ORDINARY MEETING

7:00pm on the 25th July 2022 at the Village Hall

 

 

Present:          Cllr G Dalton (Chair), Cllr P Robinson (Vice Chair), Cllr P Hamilton, Cllr S Whitmore, Cllr Festim (Bob) Doko, Cllr R Christie-Smith and Cllr Charles Jude.

Public Participation

 

Members of the public raised issues about the sighting of  a mobile mast for better internet connectivity. Members of the public stated they were very pleased with the toilet issue and getting the price of the contract down by half.

22/130 To receive and approve the draft minutes of the Parish Council meetings held on 11th July 2022.

Proposed, seconded and unanimously approved RESOLVED to adopt the draft minutes as the adopted minutes of the 11th July 2022 meeting which the Chair signed.

 

22/131 To consider matters arising from the meeting of 11th July 2022

22/132 Finance

a) It was unanimously RESOLVED to approve the internal auditors report.

b) It was unanimously RESOLVED to approve the Annual Governance Statement, and the Clerk and Chair duly signed the statement.

c) It was unanimously RESOLVED to approve the Annual Accounting Statement, and the Chair duly signed the statement.

d) It was unanimously RESOLVED to approve the publication of the above finance documents and to send the documents to the external auditor.

e) Proposed, seconded and unanimously approved RESOLVED to pay the amounts shown in the circulated payments schedule

22/133 Correspondence received

LALC E-news circulated to all Councillors.

 

22/134 To agree the dates for the Chapel St Leonards Parish Council Training Day in September

Discussions on three dates and UNANIMOUSLY AGREED Monday 19 September 2022, Church Hall 09:30-15:00.

 

22/135 To approve the budget and any further expenses to be paid for the Summer Family Festival

Proposed, seconded and unanimously approved that all expenses up to £2000 be paid and The Coastal Bid are supporting the other funds.

 

22/136 To consider and approve the grass-cutting of Charlie’s Folly area following recent local consultation

This item was deferred from the last meeting to have time to consider further cutting arrangements and costings. It was UNANIMOUSLY AGREED that the grass cuts would be doubled to 8 cuts per year, grass cuttings to be picked up and cleared away and bins to be checked regularly.
