Parish Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer
1. Apologies for absence

3. To discuss the budget and precept
All information was sent to Councillors before the meeting.
The cost for the public convenience cleaning/ managing will increase in April by 50p per hour.
Cllr Evans and the Clerk had spent sometime contacting other contractors; however, they were unable to get replies. It was agreed to accept the quote from the
suppliers.
Cllr Hibbert-Greaves advised all present that once lockdown restrictions allowed, he would
contact the caravan parks for financial assistance. It was noted that the Parish Council had
received one donation from a caravan park this financial year.
Cllr Yaxley proposed that this item should be taken to full Council to discuss further possibilities
for the future, unanimously agreed.
The budget was then discussed, it was agreed that at this time it is very difficult to estimate the
income from the carparks. It was also noticed that the estimated income for this financial year was
far less than predicted due to the pandemic restrictions.
Cllr Mrs King suggested we looked into increasing the Kiosk rent, however the contract is not due
for renewal until March 2022. The other suggestions made by Cllr Mrs King were to increase
the carparking fees, and the entrance fee for the public conveniences, both of these options would
incur set up fees therefore the Clerk will investigate and report back to the Committee.
The Clerk reminded the Council that there are 4 planters on the Village green which require sponsors
and the BID has been contacted to suggest that they take them over.
4. To agree recommendations for Main Council
The budget produced for Councillors suggested a precept of £132703.00 an increase of £24.23 in Band D, this would be a ‘standstill’ figure. If, however the Parish Council wish to move forward a Precept of £140203.00 would be an increase of £30.56 in Band D, this would allow the Parish Council to begin work on the old office, and in turn increase income once leased out.
Cllr Hibbert-Greaves proposed seconded Cllr Yaxley seconded and unanimously agreed that these recommendations should go to a vote at full Council.
