CHAPEL ST LEONARDS PARISH COUNCIL

 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE

 29th September 10.00 am at Chapel Point

 

 

Present:           Cllr Yaxley (Vice Chair in the Chair)

                        Cllrs Evans, Cllr Mrs Robinson

 

                        In Attendance             Parish Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer

 

 

1.       Apologies for absence

          Cllr Hibbert-Greaves

 

2.       Declarations of interest

          None

3.      Presentation of the new Accounting Reports

         The new accounting system has now been set up and accounts balanced up to the end of July.  The Clerk presented the following

         reports which will be used for the monthly reporting at meetings, together with the quarterly report.

         Bank Reconciliation

         Reserves

         Payments over £1000.00

         Monthly Payment List

         Monthly Receipt List

         Net Position by Cost Centre

         The Councillors discussed the reports and it was unanimously agreed that the Clerk should present them at the next meeting.

         The Clerk reported that the system is easy to use, and will be producing more reports for the quarterly figures, and budget setting as time goes by.

         The system allows authorised Councillors to look at the accounts, and this is also the case with the internal Auditor.
