Minutes Of The Meeting Of The Finance Committee

 

18th December 2019 at 10.30 am in the Parish Office Ancaster Avenue Chapel St Leonards

 

Present: Cllr Hibbert-Greaves

Cllrs Evans, Hibbert-Greaves, Yaxley & Cllr Mrs King

Parish Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer

In attendance Cllr Barrs & Ward

 

1. Apologies For Absence

None

 

2. Declarations Of Interest

None

 

3. To Appoint A Chairman

Cllr Evans proposed, seconded by Cllr Yaxley & unanimously agreed that Cllr Hibbert-Greaves become Chairman; Cllr Hibbert-Greaves accepted

 

4. To Appoint A Vice Chairman

Cllr Yaxley proposed himself, seconded by Cllr Mrs King & unanimously Agreed

 

5. Budget & Precept

The budget & Precept information was sent to Councillors before the meeting, and discussed at the meeting.

The main concern was the costs of the public conveniences, which were discussed at length. It was proposed by Cllr Yaxley seconded by Cllr Evans that an emergency full Council meeting should be called before the Parish Council meeting in January to discuss the contract.

Chairman’s Casting Vote Against

Cllr Hibbert-Graves proposed that the Clerk collected together all the relevant information, concerning the public conveniences together with quotes from other companies and present it to the next Finance meeting for discussion seconded Cllr Evans & unanimously agreed.

The Clerk presented 2 suggested budgets, which were then discussed.

It was proposed by Cllr Hibbert-Greaves, seconded by Cllr Evans and unanimously agreed that the Committee would recommend that the precept should be set to the 18/19 figure of £113669.00
