Public Participation Session

There were questions concerning the costs of the public conveniences.

A resident reported on the poor repair of Acacia Avenue, it was confirmed that 

Cllr Fenton has taken up this issue and Wilton Avenue with Highways

We have agreed that connectivity is vital for the village and understand the work undertaken by the network company when considering sites and also how much of this work is allowed under permitted development.

We are therefore NOT objecting to this application

21/053 HIGHWAYS

a) LCC – Proposed waiting restrictions Chapel St Leonards Drive – Response required

b) Lincolnshire Coastal Park – changes to the public rights of way – Response required

It was unanimously agreed that no responses should be made

c) Update on the Skegness & Mablethorpe Transport strategy workshop – Cllr Evans

Cllr Evans gave a report on the workshop he attended, he advised that the following topics had been covered -to increase the number of footpaths and cycle paths making roads safer. Skegness one way system, and the use of electric coaches.

21/054 REQUEST TO ERECT A BANNER ON THE GREEN - Chapel Pantomime Group

It was unanimously agreed that a banner could be erected.

21/055 REQUEST FROM THE RESIDENT’S ASSOCIATION TO JOIN THE EVENTS GROUP

It was agreed that it was too late to make the Christmas event a joint venture, however one member

of the Committee would be welcome to attend the final meetings.

Cllr Fenton then spoke on the subject of joint ventures, and proposed that he produces a policy and agreement

form for any future joint ventures.

It was unanimously agreed that Cllr Fenton should produce the documents for discussion & adoption at the next meeting.

The Clerk is to advise the Residents Association secretary accordingly.

21/056 CCTV Partnership meeting update – Cllr Evans

This meeting was held via Zoom, it was reported that the cameras are in working order

21/057 THE HUB UPDATE – Cllr Evans

Cllr Evans reported on his meeting with Neil Dowlman.  There have been no expressions of interest for

the building work, and Neil Dowlman advised that the Parish Council try again next year. There is a possibility

that we may get interest if we put the Carpark work out to tender.
