MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CEMETERY COMMITTEE

Thursday, 9th January 2025 at 11.00am

Church Hall, Church Hall, Chapel St Leonards

 

Present:                Cllr S Whitmore (Chair), Cllr P Robinson, Cllr D Wilson

Apologies:            Cllr B Holmes

Absent:                  None

Assistant Clerk:    Mrs V. Worley

 

CC01/01-25            Chair’s Welcome

                                Cllr Whitmore welcomed all present to the meeting.

                                The minutes of the last Cemetery Committee Meeting held on 31

                                October 2024 was unanimously approved and signed by the

                                Chair.  Apologies were received and accepted for Cllr B Holmes.

CC02/01-25             Update on cemetery Tree Survey

                                The Assistant Clerk will contact Finch Tree Specialists for a

                                quote and availability.

CC03/01-25             Footpath

                                Cllr S Whitmore to ask Robert Aldrich for a revised quote.  Clerk

                                to enquire if operatives could carry out the work.

CC04/01-25             Bench

                                There has been a request to place a bench in the cemetery

                                with no expense to Chapel St Leonards Parish Council. This has

                                been agreed unanimously as it will benefit the community.

CC05/01-25             Undertakers to be contacted.

                                 The Assistant Clerk will email Funeral Directors with regard to

                                 invoices.

CC06/01-25              Payments being made.

                                  The Assistant Clerk will enquire as to payments being made.

CC07/01-25               Date and time of next meeting.

                                   13th February 2025 at 12.00pm.
