MINUTES OF THE CEMETERY COMMITTEE MEETING
Held on Thursday, 13 February 2025

CC/01/2-25 Chair’s welcome.
Cllr Sue Whitmore (Chair) welcomed everyone in attendance to the meeting.
CC/02/2-25 Apologies for absence.
Apologies received from Cllr D. Wilson.
CC/03/2-25 To receive declarations of interest in agenda items under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Member’s Register of Interests.
None received.
CC/04/2-25 To receive and approve the draft minutes of the Cemetery Committee Meeting held on 13 February 2025.
The minutes of the Cemetery Committee Meeting held on 13 February 2025 was unanimously approved and signed by Cllr Sue Whitmore (Chair).
CC/05/2-25 Footpath update.
The footpath cannot be completed until next year.
CC/06/2-25 Undertakers’ Update.
There are two undertakers to research.
CC/07/2-25 Date for Annual Inspection.
The date for the next Annual Inspection will be 13 March at 9.30am.
CC/08/2-25 Markers for Cremation Plots.
The Assistant Parish Clerk will enquire about the markers and ask the Handyman, Mark if he has any knowledge of these.
CC/09/2-25 Decision on where next cremation plot to go.
The Assistant Parish Clerk will be obtaining two quotes for a Mapping Company to map the cemetery so that it will be made easier to tell where people are buried and where reserved plots are situated. This was resolved at a Full Council Meeting on 10 February 2025.
CC/10/2-25 Refund to the Church for grass cutting.
The church will receive a refund as the Chapel St Leonards Parish Council overcharged them.
CC/11/2-25 Date and time of next meeting.
The next Cemetery Committee Meeting will be held on Thursday, 24 April at 10.00am.
