MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CEMETERY COMMITTEE

CC04/01-24 To resolve as minutes the record of the meeting on 2 October 2023
 
The minutes were RESOLVED and signed by the Chair.
 
CC05/01-24 To execute the Memorandum of Understanding with the PCC
 
The agreement was signed in duplicate by the Chair and the PCC Representative with each taking a copy.
 
CC06/01-24 To discuss repair and cleaning of the existing footpath with the PCC
 
The committee discussed the matter and will sample cleaning the walkway with domestic equipment before looking at professional options. Dates for this action will be agreed with the wardens.
 
 
CC07/01-24 To review the 2023 Tree survey with the PCC
 
The deputy clerk will obtain quotes for trimming of tree T6 and the deadwood removal on T42. These will be passed to the PCC for actioning. A question was raised about Tree Protection Orders in the Churchyard, the deputy clerk will check on this and advise the committee and PCC.
 
 
CC08/01-24 Update on open tasks within the cemetery
 
The committee reviewed the sample signage and noted a correction; the deputy clerk will order additional corrected signs (this expenditure was resolved in October 2023). A verbal update was made on row markers (Cherished Memorials were unhappy with the quality of some of the plaques and have reordered them, so this is still in progress) and drainage channel (R Aldrich was prompted and advised it will be done before end of this financial year).

Resolved as Wednesday 6 March at 1:30pm
