Minutes Of The Meeting Of The Personnel Committee
Thursday 19th March 2020 at 1.00 pm am in the Parish Office, Ancaster Avenue, Chapel St Leonards.
Present: Cllr Barrs (Chair)
Cllrs Mrs Hamilton, Mrs King, Turton-Leivers & Yaxley

1. Apologies For Absence
None
2. Declarations Of Interest
No Pecuniary interests, however Cllr Mrs King indicated that she has contact with one of the Operatives
3. To Move Into Closed Session
It was unanimously agreed to move into closed session
There were no public present
4. To Discuss The Clerical Assistant Contract Which Expires On April 9th 2020
The Assistant has settled in well, it was therefore proposed by Cllr Barrs, seconded by Cllr Mrs Hamilton that a permanent contract for 14 hours a week @ NJC salary Point 1 should be offered
For 4 Against 1
5. To Discuss The Performance Of The Workforce
It was agreed that the members of the Personnel Committee should be more active in the monitoring of the workforce, this would enable them to be more involved in the staff appraisal process.
It was agreed that Appraisals would take place after Cllrs Barrs & Yaxley, and the clerk had attended their appraisal course.
It was unanimously agreed that the Clerk would be in attendance at each Appraisal, with Cllr Barrs supervising the appraisals of the Community Warden & the Maintenance Operative, and Cllr Yaxley supervising the appraisal of the General Operative, and the Handyman.
6. To Move Out Of Closed Session
It was unanimously agreed to move out of closed session
